PHILLY would have ROCKED j-Ville

All the folks down in J-ville liked Philly a lot,
But the Fans, who lived just North of Philly, did not.
The Pat-Fans hated Philly! The whole Philly way!
Now don't ask me why, for no one can say.

It could be the crowds were deep and theirs too light
Or it could be a Superbowl win was in sight.
But I think that the most likely reason of all,
Is because their hearts are two sizes too small.

But whatever the reason, the crowds or the big game,
They stood facing J-ville – thinking this all is the same.
"The team’s doing it’s business," they yawned from their seats.
"They're the best team in Football – and they’ll just repeat.”
“Another day at the office and we’ll have had enough,
“Maybe we’ll leave at half-time, maybe we’ll just catch the bus"

For tonight, they knew, all of the Birds and their fans,
Would put on their game-faces and rely on the twelth man.
They'd rely on their spirit, their noise and their grit,
They’ll hope and they’ll pray and they won’t give a shit.
Then those fans will do something Pat-Fans like least of all,
Every Green die-hard in J-ville, the tall and the small,
Will stand all united, and they’ll NEVER deny,
And they'll sing that damn song - "Fly, Eagles, Fly!"

All around J-ville, they’ll stand in groups, even strangers,
and their voices will give Pat-Fans a whiff of the dangers.

"We must stop that singing," Pat-Fans thought with a smirk,
And they had an idea - an idea that just might work!
The Pat-Fans stole the lyrics of another Philly treasure,
And they began to sing “T.O.” to give themselves pleasure.
"We don’t have our own cheers!" They snickered, so sour,
"So we’ll steal one of theirs and maybe steal their power”
The Pat-Fans thought this would set Philly fans straight.
They thought that this might give Pat-Fans some of that trait.
“If we can sing like them, the game might have some meaning.
“As it stands now there seems hardly a reason.”

The game went along and Philly fans were crushed.
The team had been left choking in the SuperBowl dust.
Pat-Fans cocked their ear as they woke from their sleeping,
They were set to enjoy the Philly wailing and weeping.
Instead they heard something that started quite low,
It built up quite slow, and it started to grow--
And then the world heard it - a most unpredictable thing...
And the Pat-Fans couldn't believe it— Philly’d started to sing!

They were at the bowl game and they were still so very proud,
The tunes were hummed and mumbled. Still there... but not loud.

Quiet and sad Philly-fan presence was felt.
They finally had a SuperBowl under their belt.
They’d made a statement, showed support by their number
A team loved by their city. J-Ville will remumber.

Pat-Fans, clueless as to the gift they had at their call,
Walked out of the Alltell and made NO NOISE at all.
They went home to their cozy PJs and baked beans.
They went home right away without any screams.
They went home without cheering,
Home without noise,
They went home without dancing,
Home without Joy.

“One day, one day soon,” Philly-fans said, without a grin.
“We’ll show them how to celebrate a SuperBowl win”
“We’ll have that parade – the mother of them all.
“We’ll have that parade and that silver football.
And then they said something never said without tears,
“Just wait”, The Fans said, “Just wait ‘til next year.”

Every Green die-hard in J-ville, the tall and the small,
Walked hand in hand down the stadium hall.
Knowing something the Pat-Fans just can’t understand.
The Eagles and the fans can not be dis-banned.

They’ll always stand united, and they’ll NEVER deny,
And they’ll sing over and over - "Fly, Eagles, Fly!"

Wow, that was the dumbest thing Ive ever read.

YOU GUYS LOST...and it wasnt as close as the score suggested.

If you liked J-Ville, you guys will love Detroit. Its much easier to get career ending injuries on turf, and we all know how you heartless cold blooded scum of the earth South Jerz types love career ending injuries.
