My tight ends are Antonio Gates and Randy McMichael.

I honestly have no idea how healthy Gates really is. Obviously, if he's in good shape, he's dominant. If he isn't, I don't know what to expect. He is supposed to be starting, and that's all I know.

McMichael is supposed to be a big sleeper pick this year. The Rams are also a bit of a mystery to me, but with Al Saunders back in the fold, that's got to be good for some passes to the TE. In my view, the Eagles often suck at defending the TE, so I'm thinking that he could have a nice day.

Is it totally insane to start McMichael over Gates?

This week, I'd say so. Philly defense is pretty solid vs. tight ends. That doesnt mean Gates is gonna have a great game, but you need a can't-miss kind of matchup to bench a player like Gates.

Thanks, ENY, if Gates' health weren't a big question mark, I'd feel a lot more confident, but I'm going to start him, nonetheless.
