My first impression is that I like the new format. Basically it's broken down like this (playoffs only):

If the team who wins the coin flip scores a FG in it's first possession then the opposing team will receive a series. However, If the first team scores a TD...game over. If the game is tied after the first 2 series then overtime continues just like before (sudden death).

oh, forgot to mention...this is still just a proposal.
