When talking to my folks, they told me that on some Philly TV station that Reid announced that he would like to have all three QB's back next season. Anyone else hear this? I know Reid's crazy, but that's a lot of talent wasted on the bench when the team could just as easily get needed talent and depth for the defense.

Reid's just saying crap right now. I don't think there's any chance all 3 will be back, but he's not going to say anything else right now.

I'm sure Favre is closer to retiring for real this time, especially with comments his wife made (about it being a long year). And the fact that he got the crap beat out of him.

In the event that he retires, Minny becomes the #1 suitor for McNabb.

If Minny finds another QB, or has a sudden burst of faith in their current crop, where will McNabb go next? Figure that he's the odd man out due to salary and he'll bring the most value in a trade.

childress may not be in lockstep with reid on how to run an offense, but i'm not sure it will impact whether he feels mcnabb can play for him. he may, in fact, feel (as many do) that mcnabb might be a much more effective QB with a strong, balanced running game.

Plus, he also probably had the sweats thinking about Tavaris Jackson when Favre threw that pick

I think it's very fair to wonder if Childress likes McNabb as a player at all. He might love him, but all we know is they had a good workign relationship when Childress had no say over who his QB was.

Considering the first move Childress made as a coach was signing a FA running back to a big contract, his second move was drafting a LB in the first round, his third move was draft a RB in the top 10, and his 4th move was trading his only 2008 precious for Jared Allen...it's safe to say they are different in a lot of ways.

After all, Childress has proven that he believes in running the football…although he probably should have believed in it a lot more when only needing a few yards to lineup for a championship-clinching field goal.

FD, Yes, I agree, he was completely over the top this week. He has an opinion about Favre and basically uses whatever occurs to back it up regardless of reality.

I still like his column though.
