I disagree on both fronts.

I could do without Tirico, but as far as analysts go, I think this is one of the best pairs they've ever had on MNF. Jaws is the meticulous nerd who studies all the game film and brings all the stats, while Gruden shoots from the hip and gives the down-to-earth viewpoint without being fake.

Thirded. Always liked Jaworski and Gruden has exceeded my expectations.

Like Jaws on other shows when he is breaking down game film. Just don't like him the booth.

And for some reason I can't stand Gruden. Never liked him and loathed him when he coached at Tampa Bay.

the worst ever on MNF? have you watched it before this season? Other than maybe Madden and Dan Fouts and excluding the holy trinity of Gifford/Cosell/Meredith, MNF is littered with 3rd rate color commentators who rarely got another job post MNF.

i'm with Talon et al on this. Gruden brings the same passion to the booth as he did as a coach. And though Reid will probably coach another 10 years, I would love to see Gruden as his successor. He's tailor made for Philly.

Yeah, I don't see how anyone could think this crew is worse than a crew with Kornhole or Dennis Miller.

And like him or not, Tirico is a HUGE upgrade from Mike Patrick.

a buddy of mine tells me that Jay Glazer reported that Shanahan will be the interim coach for the redskins and that he will be hired as the head coach after they interview a minority (rooney rule). Anyone hear about this?

No, I just started watching football this year.

11/1 Eagles Giants game moved from 4:15 to 1pm to accommodate possible Phillies home World Series game at 8:30.

And like him or not, Tirico is a HUGE upgrade from Mike Patrick.

A used tampon is a HUGE upgrade from Mike Patrick.

Patrick, Theismann, and I'magonnatellyasumthin Maguire were probably the low point in the history of football commentary. I'd take a combination of Rush Limbaugh, Dennis Miller, and nails scraping on a chalkboard over that classic ESPN combo.

That is a huge game and it deserves a national slot.

I'm more concerned that it will require much more restrained alcohol pacing. A 4 o'clock Birds game into an 8:30 WS game would have been awesome. New timing might require a between-games nap.
