Wasn't sure if thie was bleeds worthy but eff it:
Eagles games to be broacast on WYSP AND WIP
CBS Radio's decision to broadcast Eagles games on WIP (610), in addition to flagship WYSP (94.1), will have a neat side effect for those who also watch on digital, cable or satellite TV.
Under CBS's plan, one station (to be determined) will broadcast on a delay so that Merrill Reese and Mike Quick's play-by-play will sync with the digital picture.
A nice bonus for when the Birds are on CBS with their C broadcast team.

That's awesome. I doubt I'll take advantage of it, but when listening to some of the clowns on the broadcast (like the old MNF crew) I was dying to listen to another broadcast and couldn't use the radio because of the delay issue.

Won't the delay depend on your cable/satellite company?
I've been trying to figure out a way to play Merrill/Quick instead of the Fox clowns for the last two years, but I think the delay from Sirius vs. DirectTV is too severe.

And I understand that this is just referring to WYSP/WIP and not Sirius, but I would still think that the broadcast differs between cable providers.

That's a good question now that I think about it.
I think the delay is a standard by network, but I don't know if cable has the exact same delay as DirecTV.
Additionally, there's a slight delay between SD and HD broadcasts.

I believe the "digital" cable and satellite delays are the same. If not, hopefully it will sync with satellite.

HA!
I've never done it because of the delay, but I'd absolutely do it if my choices were Merril/Mushmouth or Joe Theisman, for instance.

Love the chiming in by NEAG.
For nostalgia's sake, and the sake of "F", I try it and give up literally 3 plays in.
But I like havin the pre-game on anyway, before K/O.
Will Mike Quick suck twice as bad, now that he's on 2 stations simultaneously?
Just askin'.

I will probably never take advantage of this for 2 reasons...
1.) I like replay
2.) I can't stand that everything all the way down to a McNabb fart is sponsored by something or somebody on the radio broadcast.
Radio has its place place for me... in the car or outside when I can't see the game. That's about it.

I didn't even think about that, but I watch all the games at home on a DVR delay anyway.
