I meant, "ban TO" from any media engagements. He did it to Supa 5, why not him?

Detroit free press, pro football talk, Chris Mortenson, and the SF Gate are the places I've heard and read about it.

He's going into the last year of his deal, they don;t think they can/want to re-sign him for the money he wants, and the Lions feel like they need help at every position BUT WR, goes the logic.

Marinelli's quote a couppe days ago when asked directly whether or not Roger and Williams were on the trading block:

"I think you have to listen in this league," Marinelli said. "Anytime you can make your team better, whoever it is -- and it's not just those two guys -- you've got to listen. If you've got a chance to improve your team, everybody listens. That's true with every team in the league."

What kind of defensive player are they looking for? I think Considine is perfect for their system.

I dunno...Heckert thinks he's a "heck of a player".

In all seriousness, Seth and I were discussing players who could maybe be dealt for Williams (if they were looking for a defensive starter) and we came up with maybe something like Sheldon and a 3rd.

That doesn't leave the Eagles in a good spot either, but just thinking out loud about players who the Eagles could theoretically live without, with reasonable contracts, but are still productive starters who could improve the Lions defense.

Fd,
Where did you here this Roy Williams stuff. I haven't heard a peep about him. He is an absolute stud, very similar to 81 in speed, hands and YOC. He is without a doubt, the best fit for this team.

Do you really think his price tag will be lower than Fitz? When you think about it, outside of the $$ owed to each player, its a similar situation (Williams and Fitz). Both are a top #10 WR, entering the early prime of their careers, are on a team that has very capable replacements and act like relatively normal human beings (for WR's). The only MAJOR difference is that Fitzgerald is owed $30 mill over the next two years. IF anything, that would leave me to believe that Fitz would require less in a trade (as the team attempting to acquire him knows that he has the Cardnals by the balls).

I guess my point is that I can't see Fitzgerald requiring anything significantly more in a trade than Williams. They both will require a number one. Javon Walker got GB a #2 while he was recovering from a blowed up ACL and I consider both Fitz and Williams to be a notch above JW in talent (when Walker was in GB, pre ACL).

Speaking of Javon Walker, I think Stallworth and him are most likely to sign with the birds. The Eagles FO LOVED Walker and offered MORE than Denver (in Compensation and picks). Walker was sitting on the couch in Andy Reid's office when he got the news that he was going to Denver. His injuries are a major concern, but will allow the eagles to acquire him without selling the farm.

I will continue to pray for Roy and hope the Eagle swould be wise enough to give up a #1 for a #1.

The only way they give up Sheldon is if they acquire a DB in FA more productive than him. This leaves you with Trufant and Samual.

ITs well documented that DB is one of the top 3 positions the Eagles value. I cant see them giving up their most consistent DB and a precious for a DREADED WR.

Well since we're just throwing idea out there, and if the idea of a trade for Williams is real. Brown would be one of the last guys I'd risk losing, IMO he is the best DB the Eagles have, but Lito on the otherhand wouldn't hurt as much...

So trade Lito for Roy, then sell the farm and bring in some along the lines of Trufant, trade McNabb to Balt for their 1sy pick(I know it won't happen it's just what I'd do IF I were GM) use that pick to take Long from MI (but if he's gone by the 8th)or Jeff Otah from Pitt, then with the 19th pick they take either Phillips the Safety from Miami or really blow everyones mind and take Ali Highsmith from LSU... Then draft the rest...

So now you've taken care of WR, CB, S(in the draft) OT (to pair with either Justice or The big kid) and in the 2nd round I'd look for another RB to help #36 this year...

Now I know none of this would fly on the Eagles radar screen but I like the way it sounds... because Reid handed the team over to McNabb in his second year so Kolb would come in as a true second year rookie BUT with a stacked powerful team, all he has to do is "manage the game" until he becomes comfortable...
