The first and only Eagle to be fired at the end of the season

Spuds! You know that this article will be changed and/or missing by midday.

"More on the defense on another day. There are some holes here that need to be filled or the Eagles are in trouble. When you let a team like Washington, which had no touchdown passes to its wide receivers all season and then played without Santana Moss, throw two scoring strikes to James Thrash (James "Freakin' Thrash!?!) and one to Keenan McCardell (he hadn't scored since 2005), you know there are some issues.

On this day, though, the offense rightfully gets the glory. Westbrook accounted for 183 yards and three touchdowns. Brown and Smith made big plays. Kevin Curtis was open all day. Truthfully, the Eagles should have scored more points. McNabb missed a couple of open receivers in a struggling first half during which the Eagles scored just seven points."

I'd fire most (if not all) the coaching staff before worrying about firing a player. Their schemes are old hat, they do not seem to be able to adjust much, and they don't appear to be able to inspire the same kind of commitment from their players anymore.

What I meant was that the only one without a job at the end of this season will be spuds, for trying to inject a dose (albeit a small dose) of reality into his article after a win.
