Loving the optimism around here. I'm right there with you unfortunately. I'm just wondering if Gibbs made his D give up the TD that quick so he had more time on offense.

I'd like to thank the Redskins for showing me that coaching incompetency is not strictly limited to the puppets on the Eagles sidelines.

From Reid post game PC:
Apparently McNabb played the second half with a "banged up" arm.
He agrees that the Redskins let Westbrook score that last TD

The only thing worse than the ugliness of the game is people saying how "this team has finally turned a corner" and how another 5 win streak is starting right here, how the season's been saved and how they can still get into the playoffs.
This defense played poorly for 50 minutes.
James Thrash had one of his best games ever against this defense.
Washington bailed out the Eagles' offense with critical penalties and costly playcalling idiocy.
It's just the setup before they get the ish beat out of them by the Pats. And they should beat hapless Miami next week (who has a serious chance of going 0-16), or Reid should be fired on the spot.

Well, you can't start a 5 game winning streak without winning the first one...
The NFC is *WIDE* open for playoff spots...
The Eagles are a few critical plays away from being 7-2...
Did I cover them all?
This team played like utter crap today, except when it really mattered at the end. Washington played like the team that lost their heart in the 4th quarter, and their play-calling during that time-frame may have just proven that Gibbs is truly going senile.
Positives from the game:
The Eagles finally won a division game
Westbrook is utterly amazing
The Eagles had a pretty damn balanced pass/run ratio
McNabb cut his critical mistakes per game down to around 3 for this game, and looked better than he did the first time these teams met this season
Negatives from the game:
The defense was GOUGED today, make no mistake about it. They were horrible, and the "long" goal line stands happened because of stupid defensive penalties extending the Redskins chances in the red-zone
WTF is wrong with the ST?!? This unit sucks, and the only positive that can be said lies in the fact that they didn't fumble the game away ala the Green Bay game. Other than that- they couldn't return the ball well, they couldn't stop the other teams return, and Akers missed another FG.
I want to believe that McNabb had a good game, but it is also the second game in a row he immediately fumbled the ball away while holding it out scrambling around. There is no excuse for more than one or two of those in a career, much less in two consecutive games.

Eagles + Westbrook = slightly above average.
Eagles - Westbrook = worst team in the NFL.
Glad they won (kinda), but they have serious, serious problems.

The embrace between Reid and 5 at the end?
I dunno.
Got a wierd vibe there
Not a gay thing- just a weird one.
Sorry, hate the Skins and their "fans" enuff to say that this was a GREAT effin day for me here watchin from home- and reminded me of the comeback back in the Buddy Ball era when Randall brought em back (day after signin his new contract) - the fans today were as they were back then- "EAGLES SUCK!"- interesting cos I STILL heard PLENTY of Eagles fans in the house and they kept showin em on TV, but it was great that those wine and cheesers and fair weatherers were out there countin this as a "W" only to have it yanked out from underneath em.
Like when that illiterate motard Dexter Manley was yelling "EAGLES SUCK" only to see Wes Hopkins running down the sidelines to set up the eventual game winner.

Oh, and I hope Aikman dies from the gay plague "aids".
Not only is he a certain homosexual who built a fraudulent career as the game manager for the best team of the 90's, but his quote at the end of the Boys/Giants game was further proof that guy is a cock chugging Cowboys homer in the booth.
"Everyone talks about the best 2 teams in football and I'm not so sure the Cowboys aren't that second team".
My ears started to bleed the moment he said it.
What a fucking clown.

I think the Redskins Fans deserve some credit for the win. The Eagles suck chant might have done more good than anything FB has tried all year..
So, when you see the next Skins fan out and about... Thank them for helping FB do what he could not have done on his own which was; win a game...
Appreciate the win against a team I hate more than anyone else... Must have been the 7+ years living in "Injun Country."

I share the common sentiment of "glad they won, but - my God, who wouldn't have against those clowns."
This game brought to you by the "Set You Up to Knock You Down Foundation."
Also, what the fuck is wrong with Akers? Every one of his kickoffs was coming down at around the 20. Even the announcers were shaking their heads when his 53 yard attempt whiffed short. Just seems like he's got the Jimmy-leg. Not good.

I never said anything about his kickoffs. I said his accuracy was always up and down. He missed a 53-yarder, it's not like he hit 20 of those a year.
