Brady is pointing out the errors his team made, McNabb is complaining that reporters are hard on him when he wins.

He was always "sane"....he just needed effin' attention (like all prima donna's) and wanted to get paid. The FO didn't want him to get paid and McNabb has an inferiority complex so that two ego's propelled by the need for love couldn't co-exist.

Cowboys put it on them...not totally unexpected given the state of the Eagles and the events of this week, I guess.

Hopefully this is one more nail in Reid's coffin. That's the only good that can come from this game.

Reid has truly lost it. He just said he thought the D-line "did a good job" pressuring Romo.

I want to smack Reid for his "DLine did a good job" comment.

Madden disagrees, saying that the DLine was doing horribly against the Boys. I mean, was he even watching the same game? Barber and Jones are running all over them, Romo has time (without moving around, despite what Reid thinks), Cole got swallowed whole by Adams, and he thinks they did a good job?

So many reasons not to like this team. Can I have my robe in black and red?

I've witnessed worse defeats in terms of point differential, and even worse defeats at the hands of the Cowboys, but I can't recall a worse on in terms of the team itself. The closest one in terms of Cowboy defeats was on MNF in '98 (the enema game), but that was different in the respect that Hoying was clearly overmatched and RayBob was clearly on his way out.

OK, maybe it wasn't all that dissimilar come to think of it.

Not in terms of the offense being overmatched, but rather the fact that the HC is in a similar situation in his stature with the team. I don't doubt that most of the guys there still love him, but as the threads of this season continue to unravel, it's becoming clearer (no matter what anyone says on the surface) that the guy doesn't have the kind of grip on this team that is needed to achieve and sustain success in the game right now. How can he? I know that he may not be directly responsible for a defense that couldn't stop the Cowboys at any level, but he is responsible for a team that can't respond adequately to what they did to neutralize their offensive attack. Yes, offensive adjustments have never been his strong point, but when the Cowboys simply take away the screen game, perhaps it might be a good idea to try something else.

There's more to be talked about, but I'm too damn tired. Hell, there's always next week, and all the friggin' fun that surely awaits.

Couldn't see the game, as I was in transit back to the stan, but, from what I read, the Eagles probably had the same problems as they did during the Chicago game.
1) The defensive line cannot apply pressure unless the opposing left or right tackle simply cannot (for some reason or another) block Trent Cole or Juqua Thomas. However, neither is a marquee defensive end, and it is a mistake to believe so.
2) The Eagles cannot cover the middle of the field and the flats simultaneously. Don't know why, but one of the two seemed open every time when they played Chicago, usually the middle of the field, giving the TEs and slot receivers a field day.
3) McNabb is a left side quarterback. I've never noticed this before, and I think it's impossible to tell from TV, but from the Bears game, one could easily tell that McNabb didn't even bother looking at the right side of the field, for the most part. That enabled Chicago to roll their coverage left and block most of the passing lanes, since nothing was going to the right.
4) The O-line cannot handle stunts and/or blitzes. Every time they saw something unfamiliar, McNabb ended up on the ground.
Of course, there are likely additional issues, and the lone fact remains: a team as 'talented' as this should not suck.

Sheldon Brown and Correll Buckhalter came out and said that they believe there's a double standard in the NFL, in that they would've gotten in trouble for the stuff that Reid is in now.

Wonder how many more guys on the team think this way.

I'll start by saying that it is hard for an offense to operate when they're down by several touchdowns. That said, was it just me or was McNabb just not making good reads last night?

I'm sure most of you (who still had the TV on) noticed that most of the 4th quarter was spent throwing the ball over the middle to Westbrook, over and over. Stat padding, sure, and it was against a defense that had probably pulled some starters.

The lousy thing? Those passes were available for almost the entire game. It was like an endless replay: meaningless play-action to set up a pass, Westbrook chips a defender and moves into the middle with no MLB in sight, and McNabb throws the ball somewhere else.

I understand that you need to get the WRs and TEs involved and keep the threat of a deep ball alive, but at one point I counted three straight plays where #36 was just sitting there wide open while McNabb looked through 2 or 3 WR routes before throwing it away or scrambling for 2 yards.

Dallas keyed in very early on the fact that a ball thrown to Owens on the sideline was money in the bank. The Eagles had the same opportunity with 6-7 yard passes and never took it.

I can't really back this up, but to me it seemed like the Washington game, Mcnabb not seeing the open man, and scrambling into pressure instead of away from pressure. Now with the added dimension of throwing interceptions. I just think he's too nervous to execute properly.

jerobi put down the crack pipe... McNabb looked through 2 or 3 WR routes ?!?!?!? McNabb was looking for WR's??? I thought he was looking around for the hotdog vendor, because he sure as shit wasn't looking for somewhere to throw the ball...

by the way I know it's against the rules and all but is there anyway a professed homer could possibly get one of the robes, I know it goes against everything both sides stand for but in all honesty I am done until Reid either gets fired, quits, or "retires however he wants to phrase it or does something positive like bench McNabb(not that I believe he is THE problem but he is part of it, or maybe he cuts someone(not like McClutz) I mean a real "player" or even a coach...
