LJ had a nice little dig at HD in that article - ""If you think about it, that locker room fight he got into here was with a non-player," Smith said Sunday.

Bass, in fairness, the ESPN blogger asked McNabb about TO. McNabb didn't voluntarily say that he was pissed TO didn't mature till he left Philly etc.

Oh, no doubt. But he keeps getting asked because it's still considered a hot-button topic that gets to him a bit. If he didn't really acknowledge the question with anything other than "we've both moved on and I wish him the best", then it's going to get asked from now until they're both dead, and then it'll be asked again on a slow day afterwards.
I found LJ's comment more hilarious than anything else. Which isn't saying too much.

I don't think it's a big deal, but I roll my eyes when Supah answers a question like this.
Who on earth cares about McNabb/Owens at this point?
It's just silly to me that McNabb would continue taking the bait like a retarded rat.

Especially for someone who's considered "media savvy".
I liked his comment of "I'll be playing football next year" after the Pitt game. Are we going to go through with another "The End Is Here For McNabb - For Real This Time" season?

Truthfully, I think the guy has a lot less pressure on him this year. He seems to have made peace with the probability of his departure. He realizes (finally) its a business. More scrutiny is on Reid, Lito, Assante, and DJackson (as a pick).
The Eagles aren't a one stop media frenzy at his doorstep.

It's why I have a funny feeling that he will have his best (non-T.O.) year ever.
And you know I'm no McNabb kool-aid seller.

Bass, my bad. Supa 5 brought it up talking about how Dallas game plans to get TO the ball. THEN Mosley asked him about the relationship gone sour.
I don't blame him or anyone about the questions. I don't blame McNabb about the answers. I think he and Reid and the Eagles realize that an opportunity was missed.

If McNabb has a good, healthy season he'll be back in Philly again next year. He's looked amazing so far in camp according to all reports and Kolb seems to have hit a bit of a wall.
Now, having a healthy season isn't a lock for McNabb, but if they get the guy who played two series against Pittsburgh for 14 or so games, he's not goign anywhere next season.

take this FWIW
according to ike reese yesterday on IP, he said that he expects mcnabb to break-out again with a big yr. maybe a 30/8 kinda yr.
why ? he thinks mcnabb is as healthy and fit as he's been in yrs, and he's healthy between the ears too. few distractions and a better frame of mind equals a more focused QB.

to make an obvious point, the question about mcnabb and his future with this team begins and ends with his health.
when healthy, he's still one of the best qb's in the league and isn't going anywhere.

question:
if you could have either mcnabb or farve for five years in the prime of their careers, could guarantee no injury to either (i'd agree a big concession considering farve's durability), both with the same offensive personnel, who would you choose?
i think i'd go with mcnabb, based on the lack of interceptions.

Ok, McNabb has less interceptions while Favre has more Superbowl victories, more T.O. endorsements and statistical records...
Lemme think about it some more...

McNabb in a heartbeat.
Give the guy a wide receiver worth a shit and you can sit back, kick up your feet, and watch the TDs roll in. We've seen it once before and yet the Mule stubbornly refuses to go that route again.
So many opportunities have been squandered by Andy Reid's patent refusal to field an NFL-caliber receiving corps for his pass-heavy offense.

Another example of this tool's ignorance:
"And some who had merely a passing interest were now emotionally invested. Quarterback Donovan McNabb had never registered to vote in the past, but the emergence of Obama forced his hand."
Never registered to vote??? I'm sure he's not the only one, but what a fucking dumb ass racist.

Not sure why it makes him a racist. It's more of a situation where you clearly don't like him, so you are finding the need to attempt to rip him over nothing.

So McNabb is getting slaughtered for his comments about a tie. I flipped between three sports radio shows in NY this morning and all three were humiliating him. The newspapers are thrashing him and pointing out how he has been involved in 12 overtime games, including 1 in the playoffs.
I didn’t think it was possible, but he has brought even more heat on himself by being so out of touch. He is the butt of every local and national sports show joke this week.
I actually feel bad for him on some level. He may be a horse’s ass, but he is OUR horse’s ass dammit.
