Man, I just read through a couple of the other threads, namely the Raven-Eagles prediction thread - holy heck, you guys are insanely brutal - is it REALLY THAT BAD, my goodness, you could be living in Detroit!! I wonder if other NFL fans are this crazy with hatred...

As for the hooter thing, this isn't the place...as I said though, I have nothing to hide, but that wasn't why I logged on here.

Of course, I guess it's like a chick walking into a sports bar with a mini skirt on, no matter how exciting the game is, guys are gonna turn their heads to get a look, and especially if the home team is getting their butts kicked.

I'm just utterly amazed - its a little disconcerting that you could track me down on witchvox - wow, makes you wonder what else people can find out, huh?

There's a case study that is in play here. Suffice to say that the 'Level has been well versed in the "the black arts" of the web by a few wily types who have shown us the ropes over the years.

I have two things to say & hopefully not be too much of a wet blanket over all of this:

1. I'll take everything here at face value & state the following; I really like the fact that you have come here and stated what you have stated, in full knowledge of the possible outcome. Instead of lashing back, you've decided to play ball a little, and that shows some moxie. This is probably the toughest crowd that you're likely to find anywhere, but you're taking the shots and dishing some back, but in a spirited way. There's a warning on the "door" around here which states that if you post in here, you're fair game. You have accepted that, but with that comes a little responsibility, namely...

2. The first part of the statement..."Football is the focus". As much as a diversion is appreciated, I think it's fair to remind *everyone* of that caveat. You've probably noticed that we don't really have too many rules around here, but one that is pretty much kept is the fact that this forum is for football. It may stray a little from post to post, but I like to think that it usually rights itself before it gets too far off course (especially during the season). Please feel free to post anything you like about any & all topics non-football in the concourse. I'll ask our regs to do the same in this regard. As a matter of fact, I'll start the thread over there as soon as I'm done posting this.

just know that mcnabb is appreciated between the lines- more times than not- but the guys got glaring weakness between the ears, in knowing what to say and when, he is not a leader and he's far too pampered/has a victim mentality thats unrivaled in sports today.

As for McNabb, I fear I must concede the point as I realize you all know MUCH MUCH MORE than I do about the big picture of his tenure in Philly. I must say, though, that I believe from the bottom of my heart that if the Eagles would have obtained ANYBODY ELSE with similar skills but minus the attitude of T.O. they would all be wearing perhaps a couple of Super Bowl rings by now...but woulda, shoulda, coulda...

Given the latest fiasco and the vast amount of negativity that has resulted, I fear there is no longer any choice in the matter - McNabb probably needs to just fold his hand, grab what meager chips are remaining and cash out - then be escorted out the back door with an entourage of body guards to make a deal elsewhere.

Are you sure you got this right? I tried to access it and got no where - there was a similarly titled site that brought me directly to the Cleveland Browns Dog Pound Site though...

FYI - they were still re-hashing the tie game fiasco last night on the Jerome Bettis Show - the gist of Bettis' comment was that players don't get a rule book - they are expected to know "X"'s and "O"'s and no one really teaches them the rules of the game - on the other hand he said that yes, McNabb and any other player SHOULD know the rules, and that the league needs to look at this as a problem and address it now that it has been brought to everyone's attention. So, to quote our favorite home town boy "So now they know"!!!

Can not wait for the media to explode this week. Gonna be BA-RUTAL for McNabb....

I'd prefer they lose out the season.

Time to burn down the house and start from scratch.

I've been watching ESPN since I got home from work today, and I will say one thing, the EAGLES sure to know how to grab the attention of the media ... kind of like a bad rock star image - there is no such thing as bad press?? Man, everywhere you turn, that is all you hear...

Did I hear any of your voices stating your opinion live? Varied responses to the QB question were featured and no one seems to agree except on one point - as bad as McNabb was, most seem to be lying the majority of the blame at Reid's feet which seems to echo the general spirit of the comments posted here.

Even on Pittsburgh radio this A.M. there was the point made that Philly might possess the only fan base with enough power and voice to actually make a difference and influence decision making in the organization...what do you think about that?

On top of that, they were featuring the "T.O. Show" displayed yesterday...I think I'm gonna be ill...for real.

Bear in mind that ESPN has many Philly-based personalities/writers/producers on staff, and NFL Films is nearby. They also know that coverage of the Eagles equals a ratings bonanza, and this confluence of sad events is what they've been dreaming of for a long time.

I'm only reporting what I heard and as I stated, it was only the general gist of the comment...I don't want to give the wrong impression or mislead anyone here...it was a general statement that was basically one person's opinion in characterizing the tenacity, dedication and very vocal voice of the fans in Philly...and not in any way a definitive statement of fact...I think the operative word was "might"...

as for the reports on ESPN, thank you for helping me to gain perspective on the media blitz...I just meant that it seems never-ending this past couple of weeks....they are indeed focusing on the drama and trauma and only doing their job, I suppose.
