Educate me, guys, what is Kevin Kolb like? Does he REALLY have the potential for greatness, or is Philly in for another 10 years or so of agony?

Section's post sounds like a precursor to a Section Story.
And no, I don't want to know.
Bass
I'd rather hear a story from gaiaphoenix as long as it is not Steeler related.

If Reid is the coach, definitely the latter. If anything, I think Kolb will finally reach Andy's dream of an 80/20 pass/run ratio.
But I think he'll eat one too many Ding-Dongs and explode.

For those intermingled write-talkers amongst us, I ask for the first stone cast. As known to all, for to be perfect isn’t a quality attained ever.
So who should be expectant of others for the similar quality?
Tai food, tie shoes, paisley tie, super fly…confusion is everywhere and within us all. Before one can knownst the ending, one must start in the beginning.

No one knows...he might suck balls. The fact is once you believe the QB or coach in place is NOT the answer, you have to find someone who is.
Kolb might be the guy, or it might be someone else. Knowing McNabb is good enough to virtually guarantee .500 doesn't make me want to keep him for the next 5 years.
Plus, Reid is the main problem...I just think they both have to go at the end of the year so they can look at the rest of the roster with a critical, honest eye and rebuild. Give me 5-11 with a direction next year as opposed to 9-7 with no hope.

I'll admit, I just LIKE McNabb and I don't know what the missing piece to the puzzle is in a team that seems like it should have won it all at least once - Reid, T.O. tainting, injury after injury... whatever...I DO agree with one thing - he should leave town while he still has a few years left and go somewhere where he is wanted
And where they are willing to give him the supporting cast he needs to win...cause I think he CAN...with the proper coaching and weapons - I'll root him on, no matter who he plays for...he deserves better, and I hope he finds it...but I won't say "I told you so" if that happens.
Heck, I still feel bad for Marino too...he only made it to the Big One once, is that correct? And he's still a hero!! What gives with that??

Like you mentioned before - Reid's success and the huge list of season ticket wannabes have basically guaranteed that the only way he goes is if he leaves.

The missing piece has always been Reid's coaching. It was good enough to dominate in a league of nimrods and scrubs, but now that the division's gotten tougher, Reid's been exposed.

Believe me, I'd love nothing better than for Philly to win the Big One, no matter who coaches or quarterbacks - my son bleeds Eagle Green - I haven't talked to him since all this mania started - but I'm sure he's being tortured without mercy at college over this recent drama
Didn't the Phillies World Championship (I just had to say that out loud!!) take the edge off you guys at all??

That only lasted until the Giants beat the tar out of the Eagles again.
There is always an edge involing the Eagles since Philly will always be a football city first and foremost.

Just like how the Pats' championships didn't really satisfy the city like a Red Sox championship did.

Your son seems like a fag to me. You better get remarried soon or he'll end up with a cock in his mouth before you can say "Jack Robinson"

NEAG you got a one track mind. Leave the poor girl alone. Its bad enough she's a Steelers fan and wears a Big Ben jersey to work on Fridays.

I do see your point there, was their flirtation with T.O. a Now-or-Never attempt or what? It definitely hasn't been the same team since their Super Bowl trip...it seems like they've all just thrown in the towel...of course, McNabb did have a major potentially career ending injury during that stretch...
But true, with all this mayhem, and no support or confidence in the QB and coach, they likely will not be able to put anything back together at this point, so it's like....turn the page...give him a police escort out of town and move on

no support or confidence in the QB and coach
The coach also put those players out on the field, and the team has no confidence in their coach. Likewise, the coach has no confidence in his players.
Just waiting for the hammer to drop, and a bad loss against the Ravens might speed up that process. They want to say that the Ravens' game is their season, but that's like trying to perform CPR on Abraham's Lincoln's remains.

you're wish has been granted. the eagles could be absorbed by the AFL right now and i wouldn't care. actually, i think that league would be better suited for reid's "philosophy".

The missing piece has always been Reid's coaching.
Let's not forget Reid's GMing, which has surrounded him with mediocrity for no apparent reason other than stubbornness.

Well, let's just see how the rest of the season goes...as grim as it seems, maybe there is a miracle out there somewhere...look where Pittsburgh would have been if Maddox wouldn't have been injured and Big Ben came out of virtual anonymity into Pittsburgh idol-dom...
McNabb has the skills, I"m sticking by that, but he is so despised it seems far-fetched that he can salvage anything at this point, as sweet as that would be...I just want them to finally get it together and win...and if Kolb can do it, so be it...I concede...

"gaiaphoenix, show us your hooters"...
I missed this in the fray...did you miss the point that I am Pagan?...us Pagan girls think nothing of being naked...in fact, we embrace it, so this is not really a stretch for me...but alas, I don't have the means by by which to reveal them to you as I don't have a camera at the moment...
but let's stick to the topic at hand...who do you think would want McNabb, could he make a REAL difference elsewhere? Do you think the Eagles will let him go? Or Reid? Or both? And what of the future...I'd appreciate a little insight on the matter if some one can indulge me
