But the Jets recouped Chicago's 2nd-rounder while giving up Washington's. They pretty much traded back 20-25 spots in the round, while picking up a proven player who plays the position they likely would've drafted anyway. I like this deal for the Jets.

I misread this...they simply swapped 2nd rounders?

Lance Brigg's is a happy guy....

""The Chicago Bears team? The coaches, players, city and fans? Yeah, I could stay there forever. I love it. But the Chicago Bears organization? I don't want to be there anymore. I won't play for them and I'll do everything in my power to keep from playing there."

Yeah, the Jets had Washington's #2 from a prior deal, which is like 37 overall. They sent that to Chicago, who sent back Jones and their own #2, which is I think 63 overall.

So the Jets have two second-round picks still, their own and Chicago's, which I would guess will be used to get up higher in the round if they choose. That's why I like the deal-- they didn't really give up a second-rounder, as much as they downgraded the extra pick.

I'm sick of players bitching. I really am.

Briggs all of a sudden hates the Bears because he had to play for $8 million this year and get his $17 million signing bonus next season.

Ryan Howard and his whiny parents aren;t satisfied with the most money ever given to a player with his service time.

- Jeff Garcia feels "disrspected" because the Eagles didn't suck his agent's cock in negotiations.

- Michael Lewis had his press conference with the 49ers yesterday and basically he said he got benched by the Eagles because he wouldn't agree to their contract terms for an extension.

What is the matter with these athletes? They sound like a bunch of dizzy bitches at a sewing circle.

Which makes it a great deal for the Jets...

I just misread that, but that certainly a price worth paying.

Wait...you mean it's NOT because he got beat by a rented Joe Horn?

I can understand an athlete's point - namely, make the most money you can now because a wrong turn could leave you SOL for future millions and such. Worse for the NFL, since players don't like the franchise tag, leaving them out of countless millions and leaving them to make that wrong turn.

Just the way it is.

So I was bored and didn't feel like stirring up the DTC over at extremeskins. I went looking through the Eagles roster and saw a few guys I didn't realize they had not that they are household names but still this guy stuck out for some reason Scott Ware 6'1 218 lbs S. from USC. He was on the Championship team, he played for a Div 1 top team anyone know anything about him??? just curious I know the Eagles always have guys they keep around for scout team and stuff like that during the offseason. The question I have any idea why they keep them around??? they are signed to contracts (NFL Europe) but not on the team???

Tattoo,
Was that the guy with the long goatee? If it is, I think they said he was a hitter, but was a step slow to be an effective Saftey.

He's got a goate so I guess that's him... I guess we wouldn't want someone like that and have a flashback to the Tampa game...

There are a couple BIG O-line 6'5 and 6'6 350 pound T's I guess they are just not good enough to play or even be a back up on an NFL roster... although I would think if they could play T at their size why couldn't they be moved to G... I obviously know nothing about what makes O-linemen any good other than size

ENY...on paper, the jets got over big-time. they got a 1200 yd back and only dropped 26 slots in rd. # 2. i think by the draft-pick chart that is commonly used, that equates to a 5th rd. pick.

nice for them, stupid for da bears

I think on a team with a better OL, and a team that has such a good D, and will be able to run the ball outside the 1st quarter, you will see Magahee finally live up to some of the expectations on him comin outta "The U".

Depending on how well the Ravent do next year, that works out to about a second round pick (later part of the second). Gotta think they could find a back in the draft at that point.

I think both teams do well in the trade, but I wonder how well WM will hold up when McNair leaves. Without a decent QB, that running game grinds down.

Well the Eagles have signed Johnson and brought Curtis in, so what does that mean...

Well first off they are trying to improve the WR's I am fine with that, but if you're like me then that is also a bad thing... to me this means forget them running a balanced offense next year, it'll be right back to throw the ball 65-70% of the time... I almost bought into the team going back to a balanced attack... oh well I guess it's worked for them not only stiving for but becoming the gold(plated)standard
