I always thought that Reid coveted JJ BEFORE he even accepted the job with the Birds afer seeing the job he did with the Colts "pressure D" of the late 90s.
Anyway, my "source" that I'd mentioned earlier attributed PART of the problem the Reid boys are having to the divestment of their mom who also hates Philadelphia and the mad hours that Andy Micromanaging-to-Death Reid works.

Reid lies about everything else when it comes to talent acquisition, so why not lie about this?

Jules, what did your source attribute the other reasons why the Reid boys were in so much trouble?

Well, the source was commenting mainly on the issue of Reid's wife not liking the city and that it partly manifested by her inability/frustration in raising the two devil-mormons by her lonesome.

The Lions have announced they are going to release or trade DT Shaun Rogers...
any interest here? IMO the Eagles are pretty good at DT but having him as a 3rd would be nice, if the price is right.

I don't think the Eagles need him, but he's a really, really good player when he wants to be.
He's fat, lazy, and was busted for Roids last year but he dominates when he feels like it.
I definitely wouldn't want him to end up in the NFC East and would have really wanted him in almost any other year, but I'm really happy with Patterson and Bunkley.

You were reading my mind Seth. If JJ has any inclination to use more 3-4 next year you gotta have space eaters to free up the linebackers. But whats the likelihood of doing a trade? Also wasnt Rogers hurt at the end of the season?

Brilliant strategy, Millen. Tell the whole league you'll get rid of him at any cost

BTW, I don't see them using the 3-4 more than a couple per game.
After seeing Gocong rush the passer this year, though, it seems pretty clear he would be a monster in the 3-4.

is there no way that they could just put him back at DE opposite cole in the 4-3 as is?

Possibly, but he's short and he's been slimming down to play LB instead of bulking up to play DE.
He might get swallowed up playing on an every down basis, he might get worn down, and he might get destroyed in run D. His frame, talents, etc. would make him a perfect guy to play the Ware/Merriman, etc. role, though.

What a joke of an organization.
WASHINGTON -- The Washington Redskins fired assistants Gregg Williams and Al Saunders on Saturday, promoted Greg Blache to lead the team's defense and announced that a head coach would likely not be in place for at least another week.
The Redskins also formally announced the hiring of Jim Zorn, who agreed to a three-year deal Friday to lead the offense.
"The process of selecting a new head coach continues, although no hire is planned until after the Super Bowl so as not to distract from the championship game as well as to keep open all our options," owner Dan Snyder said in a statement, his first public comments on a coaching search that began more than two weeks ago.
"We are on track with our interviews," Snyder added. "But in the interim we also are filling our coaching positions and re-signing several existing staff members."
Blache has been in the NFL for 21 seasons as a defensive coach, serving as the Redskins' defensive coordinator/defensive line coach for the past four seasons.
Zorn joins the Redskins from the Seattle Seahawks, where for the past seven seasons he served as quarterbacks coach.

I'd love them to make that move. LOVE IT. Watch Parcells build your team from nothing to what it is now, and then watch him steal your players and picks away using his skills against you.
I would not be happy at all if the Cowboys got Roy Williams from Detroit. If he's available, I want the Eagles to get him. The last thing I want is for him to end up on another NFC East team.
