Oh, and Freeney found out he's got Lisfranc, so he's out for the year, maybe longer.

so after 6 carries, ricky williams is done for the season.
you'd hope that would be the end of him already, but he plans on being ready for next year.
great.

How sorry are the Dolphins that they tried to place their hopes on a guy who dropped them twice?
No wonder they've got a good chance to go 0-16.

I clicked on the status of D Mac in the Yahoo fantasy league and this is what came up...
Nov 27 An unnamed team has admitted that it inquired about trading for McNabb before the trade deadline but the Eagles wanted three first-round picks in return so the deal was nixed, NFL.com reports.

How did they "place their hopes" on him?
Their other running backs are injured. They needed to start him.

I meant play him. He didn't start. And Jessie Chatman was already questionable going into the game.

Of all the injuries you can sustain on the football field, getting scissor kicked while on the bottom of the pile is not one you forsee coming.

If you take Joey Porter's word at doing anything for a win.

hulk I agree there that guy looked like he did it on purpose, when the replay was being shown the next day he sure took a WIIIIDE step to plant his foot and jump for the ball.

"There’s a growing feeling around Foxborough that Jabar Gaffney has passed Donté Stallworth as the third WR option for Tom Brady. Gaffney’s speed and measurables pale in comparison to Stallworth’s, but his knowledge of the offense and overall craftiness have made him more frequently targeted in recent weeks."
The cream always rises...

hate to say it but this has to IMO count as another good move by the FO, given the choice I think we all take Curtis over Donte, and the fact that he is almost a non factor up there anymore makes me laugh...

Uh, I wouldn't take Curtis over Donte. Don't know the comparison off-hand, but I'm guessing in the few games Donte played, his average is far above Curtis.
It's no good having a bunch of 'genius' WRs who can't get open. One dumbass who doesn't know every route in the 500 page playbook, but manages to get open once in a while is worth more to me.

Keep in mind that this genius front office signed Gaffney as a free agent then cut him loose. I think I would rather have Curtis and Gaffney at this point.

I'd still rather have Cocksuckerfaceworth than Curtis.
Curtis is going to crack 1,000 yards and be the first Eagles WR to do it other than T.O., so that's a tremendous accomplishment.
However, Curtis doesn't have the deep speed Stallworth had and teams don't fear him deep in the slightest. He has fewer big plays that Stallworth had in 10 total games (one game he left after the first series and the last game he only played one series because they clinched via someone else losing) and most of his season production came in one game.
11 catches, 221 yards, 3 TDS and about 1/2 of his big plays came against the Lions. The other 13 games he's played in have been productive, but that huge game skewed his stats for the whole year.
I like Curtis better than I though I would, but I think he's a 2nd guy or a slot guy.
Reggie is the player who is so surprisingly bad I'm not sure what to think. He looked like an ascending player, but he looks slow, easy to tackle, easily covered, and he appears to be half-assing it sometimes.
I do not understand what he is at this point. I thought he reminded me a lot of Darrell Jackson after watching both play, but he's not on that level. He looks like a #3 at this point, as well.
I'm just hoping there's an injury that he's struggling with to explain what's happened to him. He doesn't even have any fire anymore, which was one of the things I liked about him.

After that TD he had his rookie year, where he caught it in the slot and ran it past Sean Taylor, I thought he was going to be a very good player. I can't remember a play like that since

He almost had that play in the 1st Dallas game, but got caught from behind. That really caught me off guard, because I thought that once he made that cut, he was gone.

Up until this year, he's been known for finding the end zone frequently and making some big plays.
Last year he had 21 big plays out of 46 receptions. Hell, he averaged a 40+ yard play for every 8 catches.
This year he has fewer big plays than he did as a part time rookie and fewer TDs as well.
It's weird.

I just mean more than 46 catches as a career high, an overall player. Not just a big play every 8 touches.

Obviously he has more catches this year, but his average and TD's are much lower.
Basically, I thought he'd be more solid all around.
Out of curiosity, does anyone know how 6 big plays ranks among WR's?
