Former Indianapolis Colts defensive tackle Corey Simon's attempt to restart his NFL career took him to Nashville Monday for a physical with the Tennessee Titans. "We had him in for a physical, and we worked Corey out and he seemed to be in good shape," Titans HC Jeff Fisher said. Simon's agent Roosevelt Barnes did not immediately return a message left at his office Monday night by The Associated Press.

I don't know if you saw his picture last year when he arrived at Colts training camp, but he looked down to about 300 even.

I don't know what his current weight is, but fatness wasn't his problem last year.

however, last i heard, he's still on the PUP. i believe that means if he starts the yr on the PUP, he cant become active again until week 6, and has to be activated by week 9 or he's done for the yr. if i recall, it was the same for JR Reed 2 yrs ago.

I think he's off the PUP list and ready to go now.

I just read the Skins don't have a 4th rounder this coming year (already traded it for TJ Duckett last year), so it's a 5th round pick in 2008 is he plays fewer than 80% of the snaps and a 4th rounder in 2009 if he plays greater than 80% of the snaps.

from what i read this morning, nick cole, of goaline fame, will be getting the start at RG tonite, in place of jean-gilles, who replaced scott young, who replaced shawn andrews. apparently while neither young nor jean-gilles was horrible, and the frenchman showed some power, neither claimed their right to the position and gave cole a chance to shine.

btw, according to the kremlin and pravda, andrews is still expected to start on the not-quite frozen tundra in 2 weeks.

Adam Schefter is reporting that Holcombe is going to the Vikes for a 6th rounder.

And I like this move, because Holcombe wasn't making the team anyway. This gives him a place to go where he has a chance to start, and the Eagles get a pick.

I just thought I would mention that it was good to see J.R. Reed make a good play for the Giants. Apparently, Spagnuolo got the Giants to sign him. It is good to see J.R. coming back from his injury, even if it isn't for the Eagles.

Injured Eagle's career in doubt

Today, Brian Dawkins will miss his third game with the neck stinger he suffered in a Monday night loss to Washington back in Week 2. The normally frank and open Dawkins hasn't spoken publicly anywhere else either. His media silence has given rise to speculation that his injury might be more serious than reported, perhaps even career-threatening.

I hope it's wrong...

While the speculation may be true, his media silence is dictated by Reid. Players can't discuss injuries at all.

He went on 950 this morning, and he paused for a minute before answering whether or not he would be back for this season. He says he's confident that he'll be back ("it's a matter of how fast I'll be back"), and he said he was looking forward to "not just this year".

Considering how wrecked people said he looked when he did his radio show the night after he got injured, I'd be surprised if we see him before the NE game, and if the team's out of it by then, we might not see him again this year.

And again, I have to wonder how someone can be silent and still host a talk show...
