Baskett had a few deep passes this year and he's not slow at all. His problem is he's a long strider and will normally get tackled as soon as he catches the ball because he doesn't have the burst to break away. If he's hit on a bomb or some sort of deep crossing route, he can run pretty well.

With Scott, this is interesting.

I can't figure out why this guy is still a free agent. He was the #1 FA DT and no one signed him? I can't see the Birds signing him either, but the fact that he's still out there is in their favor.

I remember two for Baskett. One against Dallas and one against Atlanta. But I was in the midst of a 48 hour binge during that one.

Tat, my point was he beat his guy on balls thrown over 30 yards once. Look at the splits on ESPN, it breaks down how far the ball was thrown.

K, I thought you were simply talking about his speed or lack there of, and since he was able to score twice long than 80 yards IMO he obviously has some speed... but I guess I misunderstood what your point was, my fault

So why didn't anyone want to sign him for more than the minimum?

According to Spuds Ian Scott was looking for big dollars in FA, but he had a little knee injury.

He's also a run stuffing specialist, but is very small for that kind of specialty, so teams probably just balked as his contract demands and he got cold.

Eagles give him $1 million for this year and he's hoping that will lead to a big deal elsewhere, I guess.

Good pick-up, I kind of had a funny feeling they were going to because of the way Spuds talked about him being available to the media at 2PM for a questions... not sure if players that come in for a visit usually meet with the press after the visit if so it's just a coincidence

I got a funny feeling the Eagles are going to go after Keyshawn, suposedly he wants to go to a contender and he had his agent call the chargers they said thanks but no thanks... so IMO it's between the Jets and the birds, and since he knows enough about the Chad my guess is he signs with the birds...

I like Kewshawn as a player and in the right role. I really do.

However, you have to weigh the pluses and minuses right now. With Baskett and Avant, you have two players with Kewshawn-type skill sets.

I want to see those guys get opportunities even though I think Keyshawn would be able to help.
