Another name being floated around from the Eagles willing to trade...

Since the Eagles have just six total draft picks, the Trenton Times reports that the Eagles might try to swing a few trades to either acquire more picks, or at least move into a better position. Running back Ryan Moats, wide receiver Greg Lewis and/or defensive end Jerome McDougle could be used in those trades.

Would anyone really notice it if Jerome McDogit was gone? The only thing of significance he's done since being drafted was getting shot.

I don't think anyone notices that he's still here.

Darrell Jackson was traded to the 49ers for a 4th round pick.

How can you deal a very good receiver within your own division for a 2nd day draft pick?

As for Moss to Pats- they are in the mix, GB still the front runner- but apparently a third "Mystery" team is in the running- per PFT.COM.

After beefing up their linebackers in free agency and the draft, the Philadelphia Eagles released veteran linebacker Dhani Jones.

McDougle must be next, unless they throw a curve ball and release Darren Howard instead.

And there was much rejoicing.

Howard? You'd be able to built a moat with all the backtracking.

"We've always wanted this guy" getting cut a year later? That''d be a record.

Howard has the least cap hit, I believe, and they can justify the backtrack by blaming it on injuries.

Not saying it will happen, I just wouldn't be surprised, because they seem to have a hard-on for McDougle for some reason, and he's one of THEIR guys.

They have their LBs now- and he aint one of em.

Let me spare someone- I realize he's No.1 on the depth chart currently- but I think they'll find a way to get him snaps at the DE spot enuff to warrant some cuttin along the line (i.e.- dead weight).

Id like to add that I hope Howard can return to the form he had 1st month of season, but I dunnno- he looked OLD last yr and as another pointed out- has an attractive salary from a cut/dammage standpoint.
