I'd love to see Tony Hunt on this team. He's a good receiver, a big kid and blocks pretty well--downside is that he has zero break-away speed.

I would say that he is Richie Anderson part II.

Something tells me that the Eagles don't "pray" within earshot of an NFL draft columnist, or if they do, they "pray" loud enough to make sure that everyone knows exactly what they are going to do, eliminating any possibly doubt that they would ever dream of selecting another player and lead to accusations of deceptive behavior.

Shizer, 610 has Hugh Douglas now. AND Hugh Douglas says Eagles brought an ass load of cornerbacks into the NovaCare Complex, or as I call it- The Nova Fusion Cell.

Will they draft a cornerback early, will we ever find out, stay tuned.

I heard someone on the NFL network saying that the Raiders are going to screw with almost everyones draft board by taking Calvin Johnson, then in the 2nd round taking Troy Smith from Ohio State. This guy (can't remember his name) heard that Davis loves Smith and the fact that he is underrated by most of the draft experts he plans on having the most talented group of WR's EVER... Johnson, Moss, Porter now this is all good IF he is correct and Smith is as good in the pro's as he was in college... I guess we shall have to wait and see if Davis still has an eye for talent or if he is just an old crack pot...

And if Porter stops acting like a baby and starts playing.

And if Moss decides that he would like to actually try this year.

And if they have someone who can throw the ball to them.

And if they get an offensive line who can block.

And if...

I would love for that scenario (Calvin Johnson to Raiders - first overall) to play out. It would definitely upset many a draft board and I wouldn't put it past Davis to screw the top 10 that way.

I would doubt that but who knows- once you get the guy in here and see what he can do, if he has the ability to play CB, and if they take Merriweather they're covered cos he can play both CB and S, then they have hedged their bets and gotten maximum return on their investment @ pk. 26.

Heckert says last nite that they're very amenable to movin down this yr, as they're holdin just 6 picks and like the team depth more now than at any point in his time here.

it just kinda made sense to me that brown make the move to safety considering 2 small corners is a liability. Not sure how he would do at safety but on paper it looked like a plausible theory.

Brown can hit, he can tackle, and he's played decently against the run, so I would think he could make the conversion successfully.

A lot of CBs make the move inside to extend their career. Troy Vincent for example. If he makes the HoF, Dawkins would be the exception, in that he will play his whole at S.

Jules, they could use a guys who is a little bit bigger, but let's keep it real...one of those Smurfs is a two time All-Pro at 5'9" and the other 5'10" 200lbs.

Dre Bly is 5'8".

Deangelo Hall is 5'10".

Pacman Jones is 5'10".

Asante Samuel is 5'10".

I mean, everyone would like to get their hands on a Champ Bailey, Chris McCallister or someone with that kind of size, but they are extremely rare because guys that size typically aren't fast enough to cover NFL receivers anymore.

Even those guys are only 6 feet tall...a measly 2 inches.

I don't worry about the height that much. The close to 6' the better, but I also understand they are extremely tough to find.

Rams got Dante Hall from the Chiefs for a 5th rounder. I know his production is down the last couple years but it still seems like a steal to me - 5th rounder for a home run threat several times a game.

Could be a monster on the turf in St. Louis... But he isn't getting any younger, either...

I was never impressed with Hall during that one big year he had because there were always atleast one blatant, plain as day illegal block on the returns he housed.

Neverless still enjoyed having him on my FFL that year. I think I even snatched a victory from GGB or AE with a Hall TD return.

Not happening. I can see the Falcons trading up with Washington to nab Landry ahead of the Vikings. Anything else would be shocking.

Giving Vick Calvin Johnson is akin to giving a treadmill to a guy in a wheelchair.
