I guess it's tough to discuss the finale of a show like this if one person is completely fine with it, one person thinks they dropped the ball on the series, and no one else even cares enough to post because they stopped watching years ago.

i think he felt the more people there, the more he was worried it would be people that side with Jacob. I think that's explained in an episode

Possible. I pretty much stopped watching halfway thru Season 2, and didn't pick it back up until the end of Season 3, when we bought our house and my wife was still watching. I pretty much only half paid attention most of the time anyway.
