736, are you defending the Cowgirl fan, or is this just an independent shot at yours truly?

Where have you been? Glenn was just about to start your obituary thread

Jules:

FISA and Net Nuetrality: AGREED

Bankruptcy Reform: Agreed a bill with too many loop holes.

F4f: Calling people retarded because they don't share his views... UN-INTELLECTUAL and an unfortunate byproduct of many who share the same views. I encounter it everyday when disussions turn to politics. Do I hear on the Republican Side oh yes.. But I stand by a ratio of 2:1 democratic leaning folks to republican leaning folks who resort to name calling.

McCain and email: There is a growing trend in this country (www.msn.com (business link) I think about two months ago of corporations going to "email free Fridays." "Ignorance" in 2 years MAYBE could become the norm as corporate leadership returns to a more personable communication. What does this have to do with McCain? I don't know.. Maybe he does not like to sit in front of the PC and type "FYI" and forward communications on.. Or, maybe like a lot of other folks in his generation he is not "technology savvy." I have not seen the Job Description for POTUS however, if it does indeed mention "Microsoft Office Profecient" McCain better get off the campaign trail and get his certificate LOL.

Comedians, Actors, Actresses: All wield great power over the masses and I hear many many Political Quotes used in pro argumentative talking points (darn it with the Bill O'Reilly reference). If they did not mean anything or should not be taken into or out of context I ask why they get "national news coverage?"

Republican Party Politics: rnc.org

Republican Principles

(CUT AND PASTE FROM RNC.ORG)

I'm a Republican Because...

I BELIEVE the strength of our nation lies with the individual and that each person’s dignity, freedom, ability and responsibility must be honored.

I BELIEVE in equal rights, equal justice and equal opportunity for all, regardless of race, creed, sex, age or disability.

I BELIEVE free enterprise and encouraging individual initiative have brought this nation opportunity, economic growth and prosperity.

I BELIEVE government must practice fiscal responsibility and allow individuals to keep more of the money they earn.

I BELIEVE the proper role of government is to provide for the people only those critical functions that cannot be performed by individuals or private organizations, and that the best government is that which governs least.

I BELIEVE the most effective, responsible and responsive government is government closest to the people.

I BELIEVE Americans must retain the principles that have made us strong while developing new and innovative ideas to meet the challenges of changing times.

I BELIEVE Americans value and should preserve our national strength and pride while working to extend peace, freedom and human rights throughout the world.

FINALLY, I believe the Republican Party is the best vehicle for translating these ideals into positive and successful principles of government.

Before 4F4 or anyone else takes these and runs the opposite way.... I had to admit I got a laugh out of it as well..

However, back to your Republican Party paragraph. I think the Republican Party is on the cusp of realizing Church and Neoconservatism may in the end cost them this election.

With that being said, and feel free to disagree, if the Republican Party TRUELY embraced the statements above I don't think a candidate would stand a chance in hell of beating them.

The Republican Party just like a lot of Major U.S. Corporations has a set of ideals to which they subscribe but NEVER read!

Some intersting notes on this Red State I live in. In many counties you can not buy "adult beverages" on Sunday. Non food related items are not avaible to be bought until after 1:30pm. In otherwords, Lowes, Home Depot, Kmart the Malls don't open until 1:30pm on Sundays down here. All a product of the Sabbath.

The last President to make a major investment in infrastructure that I can recall was Eisenhower with the interstate system.

Since Eisenhower both parties have had the opportunity to indeed make improvements to the infrastructure in this country and have not. I regret that I do not share your views that Obama will be the savior.

As I have said all along the problem lies within CONGRESS. Until folks who support both parties begin to realize this on a grander scale (with Ron Paul it has gained more traction this election cycle than in the past) no 1 person will be able to affect change.

No one on here seems to want to debate the "usurping" of the Constitution by both Parties.

The "Oath of Office"

Congressional Oath of Office

"I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter: So help me God."

In closing it is the minutae of the point counter point battle that keeps us all coming back for more.

**DISCLAIMER... The author of the above text did his ABSOLUTE best to try and present a clear and neutral response to the original post in question. Supreme efforts were made to not be a smart ass.. The opinions reflected above are of the author and are not intended to reflect the opinions of the masses with the POSSIBLE exception of maybe BMA (HUMOR FOLKS... Laugh Laugh).**

A Florida teacher was suspended after students said he used a racial epithet directed at presidential candidate Barack Obama.

Seventh-grade social studies teacher Greg Howard of Marianna Middle School was given a written reprimand on Wednesday for "racially inappropriate comments" he made in his classroom on Sept. 26, according to a Jackson County School Board news release.

Howard reportedly wrote the word CHANGE as an acronym on the board and wrote an expletive with the letter "N." The phrase he wrote has been reported as "Can You Help A (expletive) Get Elected" and "Come Help A (expletive) Get Elected." School district officials did not return calls seeking comment Thursday, and Howard could not be reached.
