yes, talon. getting to playoffs over the mets and getting destroyed is much preferable to this torture.

Durbin is on fumes.
Let's see where they are at the end of the weekend.
2 back wouldn't be terrible with 20 to go

Nah, it's the first game of the series. They'll come from behind late, give us all hope, and then blow the next two.
With that said, maybe they're better off losing the first game.

Seven runs against the fkn Nats should be enough. Offense and pitching just cannot get on the same page all year. The 8th inning is like the Bermuda triangle for this team the last two weeks.

Phillies sign T. Iguchi.
Maybe he can straighten out Taguchi.

I hope so. I am headed out there and I don't even feel like going. Only the Phillies can take the enjoyment out of drinking beer on a Friday night.

Good plan, SZR. Due to my current location, I have to take the LIRR, so I will be sure to get a couple of pounders in before arrival.

for the record, and its only 1 out in the ninth, NEAG and i disagree on whether to leave in meyers, as i wanted to.
i know he was at 110 pitches.
dont care.
save lidge, plus he's been gettin men on base and its only a three run lead.
bullshit on puttin "LOL" in tonite, hope he gets outta it but i think it was the wrong move.

apparently i know nuttin about baseball per
neag, since i wanted to roll with my gut instinct, let brett try the 9th, and maybe end up saving LOL for the other 2 in the series.
i am verrrry happy they won, tonite was big and neag called the meyers gem. i actually like the phillies chances tomorrow as i told ENY, as i think Moyer may be the only NL SP to throw harder than Pedro at this point.
believe it or not, its Cole "whaaa" Hamels v Santana that worries me most.

736,
Are we winning? Losing? or is the taste of a good "beverage" numbing us all?

seth, according to cbs, he was at 117 pitches. if you leave him in, you're looking at a likely 135, and the first sign of trouble and you have to bring in lidge anyway with that much less margin for error. closers are fickle, even the good ones, and they really need to come in for one full inning, bases empty for best results.
i don't care if your closer is ricky bottalico, you absolutely have to pull myers there.
but back to myers, just wow. you now have two bonafide aces for the first time since i don't know when. a lot is riding on whether moyer can keep giving you six one or two run innings a start. blanton is completely hit or miss, and KK looks finished.

It will be pretty full around the Linc but you should be able to get a spot in the Phillies lot, seeing as they are playing in Queens
