I think the show got funnier as it went on because the jokes kept building from week to week and season to season, but if you aren't feeling it now there's a chance you just won't like it.

Dino, I think they just got on repeats so as not to compete against the Olympics. Might be a tiny bit of professional courtesy also, given how much $$$ it takes to win the Olympic bid and produce the shows.

F 60 Minutes for ruining The Hurt Locker last night, by the way. They basically tell exactly what happens from beginning to end. I hope they got a ton of letters.

Saw that and thought along the same lines, Zak. I am hoping that they did not actually ruin it.

I think it was absolutely amazing.

yep, that about describes it. AD is probably one of the funniest tv shows i've ever seen, certainly the most clever.

They show how it ends and lot of stuff along the way.

Arrested Development was too jewy for my tastes

60 Minutes laid out the plot outline including a development which occurs late in the film which would not have necessarily seemed obvious, but who knows it's entirely possible that is not what makes the film great anyway, assuming it is indeed great.

if it's what i'm thinking about, the ending is just the result of the buildup that takes places through the whole movie, and you can pretty much see it coming the whole time

yeah, i don't think the point of the movie was a surprise, i remember hearing it desribed during the awards shows. i think the point of it is to show how it happens, so it makes sense to civilians

I just got my hands on the 1st season of AR within the past few weeks- so far, I think it lives up to the billing. I think its really well written and very funny. Only 5 episodes in, but don't see any reason to expect a drop off.

ugh- Arrested Development...

and "hurt locker" is one of the best movies i've seen in quite a while. can't recommend enough.

Flesh you need to watch The Wire, you are the luckiest man alive at this point, you have 5 seasons ahead of you.

glenn, literally everyone i know who has watched "the wire", including my wife, claims that it's the best show, ever. and yet, from the little of it i have watched, and i have watched some, i just am not into it. i guess i'll try again at some point. maybe tonight's the night.

Crazy Heart stunk. Good performance by Bridges though
