Let's see what happens with Orpik first. Seems that Hossa's spot will be taken by Naslund, Huselius, or in what would be quite a twist, Jagr.

I'm pissed that the Flyers don't seem to be players for Orpik.
I do think this stockpile of defensemen will come in handy at the trading deadline, but Orpik was phenomenal in the playoffs, seems to be significantly better than any of the guys they've acquired, and he'd be fun to watch in orange and black.

Orpik has offers from San Jose, Washington, Atlanta and the LA Kings as well as two "mystery" teams. He's thought to be gone unless Pittsburgh comes around REAL soon. Flyers can't afford him.

Yes, but one would have thought they could have afforded him before they made this recent freewheeling run on mediocre players.
And what's the deal with Hatcher? Is he retiring and coming off the books, i.e. freeing up cash?
