I realize what the final outcome will be of this series - but this is still fun for me- hopefully prolonging the season by a game.

And with each 'next game' you have that little bit of hope for just that one game, in this case, Sunday. So all day Saturday if they hold on here, I'll enjoy convincing myself that just 'win that game' and then you're back in Philly.

Richards wanted Crosby BAD there. And he likely would have beaten the shit out of him.

I have never seen the linesmen jump in that quickly to save a player like that.

Had Philly shut em out... I think Sunday would have been different. To allow the "guins" to score two in the third was bad ju-ju..

If Philly should some how manage to make a game of it Sunday and win.................

Would make for an interesting Tuesday Evening to say the least...

I think Philly played their asses off tonight and proved they can play toe to toe with Pit WITHOUT their top defensive pair.

I have come to a conclusion. Not a fan of Briere. Doesn't hustle in the corners enough on the forecheck, skates lazy and basically when he's moving the puck into the zone just skates into the boards and loses it. Not impressed at all. The long delay instead of one timing it on the power play told me all I needed to know. The second Staal goal was made possible by Briere just watching him skate to the top of the crease and not even cover him.

Hardly see good back passes by the Flyers from behind the net to good shooting lanes. Happened on the power play early but should have happened more.

Lupul, Richards, Jones, Hartnell and Kapanen all hustle on every shift. Loved seeing that.

Hatcher is the man. Once I thought him too antiquated, but he's still got something left. Awesome.

Didn't see Downie skate tonite. Would love to see him smash Malkin, Crosby or Staal like he did the Senator in pre-season.

PS, BI, remember that their top winger in Gagne is also out. Imagine a healthy team, but without Prospal (get someone that really hustles like a Marty Straka if they need a true veteran). Screw him.

PS, left out Carter...he's a grinder with skill.
