Then what's the source of the Montreal receiving favorable calls debate? Game 1 still?

You lost me.
Not tough perhaps, but kudos.
I was referring to Hatchers hit in game 3.
I said then it was a penalty, but was stunned he rec'd a 5 minute major for it.
Nobody else here said he shouldnt have been called for anything.

Wasn't the 5 minute major for drawing blood.
I thought his eye shield cut his face thus the major penalty.

How is Morganti not a Flyers fan?

You’re still a Detroit fan aren’t you?

I gotcha, just strange that the guy you think of as the face of Philadelphia hockey coverage is not even a fan. But makes some degree of sense. How old was Morganti when he got his f'ing Inquirer gig, BTW?

He's way older than you think.
After Gene Hart kicked it- Philly had no home grown face for Hockey.
Just another reason to justify the "You don't get it/Everyone hates us" mentality that lives within much of the fanbase.
Reason #19784 not to listen to WIP.

Some Philly fans use the "reputation" to their advantage.... "A wolf in sheep's clothing is a wolf by any other name."
Personally having spent some time in the "Great White North" eh...... Outside of Montreal I think the Les Habitants fan base is not as large as one would be lead to believe.
Most Canucks that I know are more in tune with the Maple Leafs than the Canadiens. That whole Quebec Province Public Law 101 (Parle francais) is tolerated not embraced in the rest of the Provinces.
Even Ottowa (SP) has a pretty decent following outside of the Capital City.
Your average Canadian digs Hockey Night in Canada.. I liked the bar atmosphere pretty much every where I have been; Toronto, Montreal, Fredricton, Halifax. They are passionate about the sport and now alot about teams they don't even root for which is more than I can say for the average NFL Fan... Its a different atmosphere up there.. A hell of a lot more friendly than down here.. Personally I find it aggravating after the 2nd week in Canada..

Biron DOES look great.
Love initially that they chased the goalie away --- but too often a guy comes in and makes a dif. so I'll decide later if it was really an advantage. This cat's played only 6 games tho this yr with the Habs, so PERHAPS his inexperience will show if they can get a goal on him????? Purely speculation/hope.
Flyers gotta be wary of the defensemen of the Habs coming up into the play - how many times has Umberger not been aware of that so far?
Hatch- has had a great series/playoffs- but MAN he looks slllllow tonite.
I like when they just shoot from anywhere and often.
MORE OF THAT please.
Or--- just more SHOTS period, plz.

Do u see what I mean, Seth? About Briere. Too quiet. I saw more from Umberger, Richards and Kapenen than him. And it wasn't much from them.
Bee-rawn has been unbelievable. They owe him a ton.

Yes, he is quiet.
He looked better when Prospal had some gas is all im saying- its not all Vinny's fault per se, but it must be noted.

Another thing the Flyers really need is someone who is creative carrying the puck into the opponent's zone. The dump leaves too much time for defenses to get organized and neutralizes the effectiveness of up-ice rushes.

26 saves, at home, halfway through the second period. I have to admit I'm impressed thus far this series.
Montreal is beginning to look tentative on the powerplay-- and if that goes, their chances of coming back in the game AND the series take quite a hit.

Flyers goal was a microcosm of the series. Habs apply pressure, Flyers counter, take one shot and score on a soft goal.
Biron is just wow.

The flyers have to buckle down. Too much time in their own zone on power plays. Pittsburgh will kill them
