So we just eat this game guys- Philly came out and played great. Win or lose, they're not lacking for confidence or feeling intimitdated by the #1 seed, clearly.

I think if they just play this way in the OT, they'll win it.

The Flyers were hosed by the refs. I don't think there is a non-habs fan out there who would argue. The refs are absolutely intimidated by those fans.

Flyers have to be able to close a game like that out despite all that tho.

The refs ABSOLUTELY had that, "If we don't call this a goal there will be riot on our hands" look on their faces when they went to review it. Not to sound like a cry baby homer but if say Carter or Briere had that same questionable goal would the result have been the same?

I read somewhere this morning that the ruling was that the puck bounced in off of Biron's helmet after being deflected by Kovalev-- thus megating the high-stick. Um, I don't have a video clip or anything, but watch the replay and you be the judge.

I think that refs make the calls that they think are the correct ones, without regard to potential riots on their hands. They may not be correct calls, but to date their have been umpteen thousand sporting events staged at various home venues across the land, and only 1 or 2 riots I can recall, neither of which stemmed from a Referee's call.



Frankly, I think it's stupid to even bring it up.

The ref on the field for the Imaculate Reception play admited to being afraid of a riot, and so he called it a TD even tho after they conferred, they did in fact believe it hit the ground.

Let's assume you are correct. Please give me a 2nd example. It's retarded to allude to it is motivation for the Refs. They missed the call, period.

If there is a Canadian Hockey team in the playoffs you can count on at least one riot, be it for happy or pissed off reasons.
