Agreed. They had the much sought in Philly "Heavy Underdog role" and promptly lived right up to it.

I'm not saying anyone thought the series was a foregone conclusion, but the Flyers were at worst a pick 'em.

A couple friends of mine went to the game last night and they said an Eagles chant broke out after the game.

Yeah, let's do a chant for the only Philadelphia team that didn't make the playoffs this year.

I really hate our fans sometimes.

They should do a special promotion, Vlad the Impaler style, for all the fans that break into Eagles chants at Non-Eagles games. Maybe some night where the Phils and either Sixers or Flyers are playing go around and hand out "Special Superfan Promotion" tickets for a big after party at the Spectrum. Promise free booze, strippers, maybe a raffle to be a Wing Bowl contestant the next year, plus the offer of "never having to see the Eagles lose again". Herd them all in there, then bolt the doors and burn the place down.

I was actually up there last year during the NFL draft because of work and I decided to walk over to the outside of RCMH to take a gander after being on a subway car packed with drunken Giants and Jets fans to see what it was like. The atmosphere (and clientèle) is similar to that of Wing Bowl and the aftermath is similar to that of Times Square on New Year's Eve (In a 'what the fuck do we do now?' sense when their team has made their pick).

Like Wing Bowl, I really don't understand the appeal. And given the people I have seen at both events, I don't really want to understand it.

I think we should send a group from the level to the NFL draft every year so we can boo the shit out of the Eagles 1st round draft pick.
