I said it as well. I don't like FAG a little. Trade was not terrible as Floyd looks to be continuing to be awful, and who knows what Gio will pan out to be (I see him currently listed as something the #70 overall prospect) but those looking for FAG to be the savior (i.e., Charlie dancing around the clubhouse in pantyhose talking about "we got our ace") are kidding themselves.

Just to be fair, Charlie didn't actually do that (he wasn't even here when it happened)

Hold it, KB. Are you saying there is no way that Cholly was hanging out in the clubhouse in Clearwater prior to camp, i.e. when FAG was acquired? I am pretty damn sure I READ about in one of the papers and I am also pretty sure I NEVER heard it mentioned on WIP, as I listen to that station MAYBE 10 minutes a day.

I just went through this thread, and i think you said you heard it on WIP. COuld be wrong. He was with Gillick at the meetings when this went down, so I don't know why he would be in the Clearwater clubhouse.
